Summary
- PageChange does not collect, sell, or transmit personal data.
- All page snapshots are stored locally in your browser using
chrome.storage.local.
- PageChange runs only on sites you explicitly enable.
- You can delete stored data at any time from the extension.
Data stored locally
PageChange stores the following data locally in your browser:
- Enabled sites (the sites you choose to allow the extension to run on)
- Page snapshots used to compare changes between visits
- Basic settings (e.g., change sensitivity)
Data sharing
PageChange does not send your data to any external server. There are no analytics, telemetry, or tracking calls.
Permissions
- storage — stores snapshots and settings locally.
- scripting — injects the badge and drawer UI into pages you enable.
- activeTab — enables the extension for the current site when you click “Enable on this site”.
- optional host permissions — the extension runs only on sites you opt into.
Deleting your data
You can remove stored data at any time using the extension’s controls, such as:
- Forget this page
- Clear data for site
- Disable the extension on a site
